SoulSnake has been kind enough to let me tell you about this little project of mine.
I've been running the Loucifer Speaks webzine (for Metal and Rock) since March 2007 and recently decided that it would be a cool idea to produce an actual zine.
The zine will be available as a PDF for those of you who want it instantly and who also want to save trees, and we'll also have a good old fashioned paper version, for those of you who want something to read while sitting on the train on the way to work!
The zine will feature metal and rock bands from all over the globe and will, hopefully, introduce you to some really cool music!
The first issue is due on 16th September 2009 and is shaping up to be an mammoth issue! There's plenty of shockingly good metal and rock bands lurking within it's pages. I really can't wait to unleash it into the world!
Issue #1 is a fairly DIY affair and the paper issue will only be available as something with photocopied quality pages (the PDF will still be full colour). However, I do plan to bring out a proper magazine quality zine in the not-too-distant future... and here's where you come in!
I'm looking for people to subscribe to the zine. This will either involve having the zine mailed to your address, or sent as a PDF to your email - whichever you prefer! Oh, and it's absolutely FREE!!!
The reason why I'm doing this is to try and secure some advertising. The money obtained from the advertising will be used to pay for the professional printing job and for postage to ship the issues out. If I approach the advertisers and say that I have X amount of people guaranteed to see their advert, then they may be more likely to use it
So, the more the merrier!
