Why are there always stupid people in horror movies?
Why must they also investigate the scary noise that comes from the basement after they've been told that there's a serial killer on the loose / the house is haunted?
It's at those points in movies where I really stop caring for the characters and start looking forward to them being killed in the most imaginative way possible.
Anyway, can you think of any modern horror movies where you actually cared about what happened to the main characters?

Lol, very true. I think it's just become so mundane now that you do end up wanting the main characters dead. We need some new ideas implemented into our horror films!

Heres the thing that i can actually agree with your point is my mum was in the bathroom when she heard a "noise" coming from the cupboard which has remained unused for many many many months. She discribed the noise as "scratching" and "moving" and she also said that she was expecting some zombie to jump out and attack her. So she goes to the cupboard and investigates..........
so yoiu can see why i can not agree with yoiur point.....
oh the scratching was actually a field mouse which had managed to get into my unused hamster cage stored in the cupboard and was playing on the wheel

He became my new pet - we named him Timmmmmmeeeeey II since my previous mouse we caught had died and we named him after the character in Southpark Just the sheer stupidity at times in human nature, how curiosity takes over and you need to do something. Such like the cat in the electric box. If no one has ever seen this example, look up Darren Brown. He put a kitten in a glass box which was collected to an electric current started by a button and told a girl to last a certain amount of time in the room without pushing the button and she will win money. 2 seconds before the end....she pressed it! its the childness inquizative side of our nature, we need to know what happens, what those sounds are so naturally we are drawn to check them out. me and my friend went to her house for drinks, no one else was in but when we were sitting watching tv downstairs, we heard noises upstairs. My friend looked shitscared so we ran into the kitchen, grabbed a frying pan and a knife (i had the knife) and we decided instead of running out for help we would go check it out (since we were armed) We got to the top of the stairs and my friend said she would go first - it was coming from her room, we could hear noises coming from in there - so i gave her the knife and i took the pan. She opened the door and it was my other friend throwing me a birthday surprize! thank f**k i never had the knife otherwise i might have done something, because i swung the pan when i ran in lol!
