Do you think that the supernatural vampire (you know the one I mean - the one that's been featured in books, movies, comics and games galore!) myth is actually based on some degree of truth? It seems like every culture in the world has some kind of bloodsucking beastie... Are they truly a work of fiction? I thought this would start up an interesting discussion

Yer very interesting. I dont know but i reckon there has to be some degree of truth, whether it stems from cannibalism or one the many self proclaimed vampires of the early-mid 20th century. I heard awhile ago that there is a cult/vampire sect that still practices in the heart of London and have done so for centuries. Supposedly the trait is passed down from father to son and is very well protected by very highly ranked officials. I would love to know if this is fact or not? If its that well guarded i guess we will never know!

That's true. I doubt we'll find any well-guarded secrets by searching on Google!
I'm interested to find out more about this vampire sect in London (since it's pretty close to home!). Do you know any more about them?

It's possible that myths and legends were written plain off facts in life, or they could've been written off imaginations by people who thought they saw things or were attacked by certain things. Dracula was the most popular story, for all I know.

Do you know any more about them? I was told this cult was more common than anyone would ever believe. The people i spoke to were absolutely scared shitless and said to be part of this sect, just the look on there faces was enough to see they wern't lying. I didnt doubt there words for a second. They were from England and moved to Australia to distant themselves from the cult and said that there is no way out once you are involved. They were even afraid living here as to whether they would be tracked down! They had young kids and wanted to remove them from harms way. They moved again around 4 months after settling where i used to live. They were there oneday and gone the next! Very strange.

Sounds like a scary cult... I think I'm better off not knowing much about it - especially considering how close I am to it!

It's dangerous to join a cult nowadays, even those who support aliens. I would join one but when twanger explained about that thing with his, well, short-time friends, I've decided it's best for me to either start my own (if I could find people crazy enough) or just leave it by!

"Supernatural vampires", seems kinds likke repeating yourself. I thought all vaamps. were of a 'supernatural" origins EXCEPT for the ones thhat go out tto the various clus that appeal/atract "vampire wanna bes", which aren't the "real thing" to me. Did vampire like Dracula, of literature not a real human who was nasty enough in his own right, ever esist except in books, got me on that one. I agree they pop-up a a lot of various cultures that don't seem to be connected excpet in supernatural beliefs.
