I love telling people this Story.....ok,
There has always been "weird feelings" in my house, my mother has always commented on when she sleeps downstairs she feels like someone is always watching her from behind, yet there is never anyone there.
But the weirdest one is at the top of my stairs of our house, she has lived there for over 20 years and since day one, when you pass the bannister of the top of the stairs, there is always a very eerie presence. One of those things where you shiver and i am not the only one who has ever noticed it.
But 3-4 years ago, i was finishing playing on the computer, it was late and the lights were all out but i was wide awake and decided to go to the bathroom which is practically next door to my room but i open the door and face the end of the bannister which is only about 3 foot infront of me.
I went to my bedroom door and opened my door. there is always the outsides light which light up a bit of the upstairs floor and up the stairway so i always see the bannister end but this time i walked out and instead of a rectangular pillar infront of me, there was a slightly taller, rounder object infront of me but it was a solid sillhouette of what i would believe was a young girl, half my height (3ft). In UTTER shock, i stood for at least 10 seconds staring at this but it was not still, it slightly moved, like when you try to stand still, you never can stand totally still...
anyways, after 10 seconds, i decided i couldnt stand there all night and i couldnt walk past it...just incase lol. My bedroom lightswitch was damaged so to be safe (in fear of electrocution) i had to slightly turn my head to the left to make sure i was pressing the button, but when i turned back before the light switched on, the sillhouette was gone, and all i could see was the bannister.
I do not believe i have ever been so frightened in my life! but that is not the only encounter.
the second one was mearly months after, again, top of stairs beside bannister only i was coming out the bathroom. it was light outside but the hallway light was not on but the bathroom light was. We have a pullstring to turn on and off the light and as i opened the door, it faces a wall behind the bannister. As i reached for the string, i happened to look infront of me and instead of just my sillhouette on the wall, there was a larger darker sillhouette beside me, i knew my shaddow because mines was the one holding onto the drawstring so my arm was up, but beside me, very clearly was the larger sillhouette of a 6ft at least man (it was definately the heavy build of a man) with his two arms at his sides, which were also clear to see.
Again freaked out but i turned off the light and he disappeared, i turned it on again and it was still gone.
But i am not the only one whom has had these encounters. A couple of months ago (by now i have moved out) I got a distressed phonecall from my mother. She was looking after my neice at the time whom was in the livingroom while she was in the kitchen. She heard a large crash which shook the room she said and then heard a child crying so she ran to the livingroom and teegan was there playing away happily but she said that the crying was coming from the top of the stairs which slowly faded. there are no other children in the house.
Everyone has commented on how they feel when they pass the bannister but i also get such a sad feeling when i am upstairs, a very unhappy feeling when i walk up the stairs, its as if something terrible happened.
