Long ago, about three and a half years ago, when I first met Michael, the both of us went walking into the woods that he said was haunted. I had told him recently before that that I loved looking for ghosts, and he wanted to take me on a tour to what he called "Haunted Woods".
When I went in, I started feeling even worse, and tired. Michael and his cousin had to stop every once in a while because I was too tired to keep going. The irony of it was that I was too energetic before I went in, but when passing through the border, it was as if the energy was diminished.
We made it out of the woods on the other side, but Michael was panting, too, and sitting down on the ground. His cousin was still in the woods, looking around. And then we heard something when we hadn't heard nothing for hours, and started running home around the woods, not through it.

The weakness/tiredness could be put down to any number of factors, but its certainly an interesting story.
What was the noise like? What would you compare it to?

It was like a growling noise but it was in the middle of the winter, and there wasn't an animal within miles of where we were. Of course, it could've been Michael's stomach growling, but I know there was something in the woods, the way it made me nearly collapse when we reached a swamplike partion of the woods. I think it used to be a cemetery, and a very old one at that because Michael had tripped over a very old and round rock that looked like it had drawings on it.

You were probably trespassing on an ancient indian burial site. they say all your energy drains rapidly when you are not welcome. just a thought!

It's likely because the land we lived on used to belong to Indians long ago, and there's been reasons to believe some of the cities are cursed because of that very fact.
