Do you buy a lot of horror / sci fi merch? The reason I ask this is because my boyfriend and I have this dream of opening up our own Sci Fi and Horror store which would sell all kinds of merchandise - pretty much everything from toys to books to games to... well, whatever else we could land our grubby little mitts on! Obviously this is still a dream at the moment, but I was wondering if there was still a big market for this sort of thing. So, do you have a collection of toys or other sci fi/horror stuff? If so, where did you get it from? Do you still buy this kind of stuff? Think of this as market research LOL Cheers!

I love skulls. I have a skull ashtray, skull clock, skull cast (of a real skull) skull mug etc.

I like skulls too! Perhaps we could post pictures of our skulls? (Not our actual skulls though... because that would be a little weird!)

No go finding it Lou! As for your opening a shop of horrors-sci fi, i would be your first customer! If you sell on line that is.

We've got a whole load of stuff here. Mark's collection is HUGE and I've caught the bug too now! I've got various zippo style lighters with stuff on (even though I don't smoke!) - my favourite one is my "Planet Terror" lighter. I've also got two models of the ship Serenity from Firefly and Serenity... oh, and I've also got a knife similar to the one Alice uses in the most recent Resident Evil film.
But, I think the thing that stands out the most is Mark's full-sized Storm Trooper... which currently lives in our front room!

Maybe an Ebay store would be a good start for you. I imagine there would be fairly huge outlays to open a shop front. A full size storm trooper would be cool.

Yeah, I was thinking of having an online shop and eBay store as well. But there's just something about having an actual shop that would be so cool. People could come in and actually see the items up close - which is something you rarely get to do with these sorts of goods. There is a chain here in the UK called Forbidden Planet which would probably end up being my main source of competition if I did ever get around to doing this. Forbidden Planet is great, but I often find their stuff to be slightly on the expensive side and also they don't really have a huge selection. I suppose it's because they tend to focus on whichever films or TV shows that are 'in' at any given time.
Anyway... I'm rambling now!
