Since remembering The Gate and watching An American Werewolf in London I've developed an urge to watch some more 80s horror movies.
Are there any that you'd recommend?

Left out 'The Excorcist' #1. The second was very ordinary! Lou, if you havn't seen 'The Lost Boys' its worth seeing too! Its a modern day vampire movie, pretty cool though, i think you would like it! |

I love "The Lost Boys" - it's one of my favourite films ever!  This slightly related, but I thought it might be of interest... One of my all-time favourite bands, Vesperian Sorrow, did a great cover of "Cry Lil Sister" from that movie. It's on their MySpace if you want to listen to it |
