Rather than having hundreds of voting codes at the bottom of the site, I suggest we have a 'Voting Board'. This is an idea that I've just had, so if it doesn't work in quite the way I have planned then please forgive me! Here's what could be done: If you're planning to add SS to a lot of Top Sites lists (which I think would be a good way of getting traffic - especially if they're horror related lists) then having x amount of voting codes at the bottom of the page might start to look a bit messy. So, personally, I would create a new board and make sure that you select the "Disable posting" option. That way no threads can or will be started in it. Then, in that board's header, you could put all of the voting codes. Perhaps you could even create some little voting buttons and have a different coloured one for each list. Then, in the Global footer, you could replace the codes that you currently have with a code that links back to the Voting board. So it could say something like "Click Here to Vote for SoulSnake!". If you're up for doing this and you need any help, just give me a shout

You don't actually need a board just for voting. It would just cluster up the forums and really get people lost in the place. Better to have them placed within the forum that includes the rules, like, in a forum header for that forum alone. I mean, asking others to vote for you is like making an announcement, si?

I'd disagree - having them in a separate board (and one that is closed for posting) makes the forum, in my opinion, tidier. The codes all come in HTML, so it's a pain to change them to BBCode, so putting them in an announcement post isn't ideal. Also, posts have a habit of 'getting lost'. For instance, if SoulSnake posted them as an announcement and then continued posting new announcements the original post would get pushed further and further down the list. Also, posting them as an announcement suggests that members have to vote when it's a purely optional thing. Also, if you put them in the header of one of the other forums, it would make that forum untidy and members would have to scroll down through all of the voting codes in order to reach the actual posts. ...that, and the separate board reminds me to do it is why I think the idea works.
