I'm reading "blood red" curtesy of Lou (thanks mate ) I'm a bit confused cos I read an online review of it and cant quite understand how they are going to add the bits that were mentioned in the review into the book as I cant see how they would add it to the part of the storyline I've already read? No problem! What have you read about it? Now reading: "Creed" by James Herbert

I heard it involves Vampires and at first I thought Jason (if you remember that character) was the Vampire but as I read on I'm not sure how they'd bring a vampire in and there's no mention of anything to hint that a Vampire is around (if that makes sense).

I'm at the bit where the young boy is threatening the policeman (trying not to give too much away incase someone wants to read the book) and where they are rushing the young boy "Teddy" to hospital after an allergic reaction to a bug bite.
I'm struggling to work out how they would include a vampire in? Especially when it all seems focused around sex and lying!

Perhaps the bug bite is not all it seems... Is that giving too much away? I've just finished reading "Creed" by James Herbert and am now reading "Nobody True".

I thought that.... Trying to work out who the Vamp could be now! Will have to try and read a bit in my lunch break if I can to see if it will become more clear.

I've just finished "Best Served Cold" by Joe Abercrombie. It's not horror (it's fantasy) but still worth a read. In fact, all of Joe Abercrombie's stuff is worth a read! Starting a new book tonight... not sure what though! Ah, decisions, decisions...

Starting a new book tonight... not sure what though! Ah, decisions, decisions... Sounds like another good read. I wish...Iwish...Iwish i had more time to read! I love it but don't ever seem to be able to make the time anymore. Well atleast due to the horror books category i have plenty to pick from when i retire lol.

I know I'm double-posting, but hey... I'm currently reading (well, I've nearly finished reading) "The Ghosts of Sleath" by James Herbert. James Herbert is a seriously good writer - definitely one of my all-time favourites!

I am currently reading "Sons and Lovers" by D.H. Lawrence. It is about the emotional source of his ideas," observed Diana Trilling. "The famous Lawrence theme of the struggle for sexual power--and he is sure that all the struggles of civilized life have their root in this primary contest--is the constantly elaborated statement of the fierce battle which tore Lawrence's family."
Sons and Lovers is one of the landmark novels of the twentieth century. When it appeared in 1913, it was immediately recognized as the first great modern restatement of the oedipal drama, and it is now widely considered the major work of D. H. Lawrence's early period. This intensely autobiographical novel recounts the story of Paul Morel, a young artist growing to manhood in a British working-class family rife with conflict.
