Are you aware?

IMO, I know that possession is an occurance which takes over your body and mind but there still has to be some part of you left in there - you see it in movies etc where they call for the normal person to fight the evil etc - if you were not in there, how can you hear their calls?

I think possession is like a form of hypnotysm, Been there and I hated it, it is something i will never do again. not for the embaracement factor - i may have danced like kylie manogue and ate an onion but the fact that i was sitting there, watching people, and i felt like myself but as soon as he said something it was as if i had no control, i hate the feeling that you can not move without being told to - its a very horrible and vunerable feeling to be in and i think possession is something similar

Being hypnotised must be such a scary experience... I don't think I could ever do it willingly.

A couple of questions Metalcherry!

1. Did you actually remember everything you said/did under hypnosis?
2. Do you think you could have resisted doing these things or did you have no control at all?

It took place in a stageshow in a club. the guy asked for volunteers and my group jumped at the chance, it was me , my fiances brother, and a load of friends.

He came over to me, we all stood still waiting for him to come over and put us under, he whispered in our ear, it wasnt anything unusual, he just made you listen to his voice. i was put under within 3ish minutes, he just kept telling me to listen to his voice and before i knew it he was lying me on the ground asleep but i could hear everything around me, him walking round doing the others and the audience.

He then told us to stand up and take a chair which was on the stage. we all sat down and i know we felt normal, i didnt feel any differently but the way he was talking to you felt as though he was commanding you. Everytime he talked it felt like your body drained of energy and it felt very otherworldly which was controlling your body when he told you to do something.

i do remember one or two things - the whole thing felt so dreamlike - even though when people told me what i did, it does come back to you. He told us all to sit down and pretend we were on a flight, watching the flight movie, and then we realize its a porno, then we realise its us in it with someone else and we had to say who the other person was, of course i said fiance lol but i couldfeel the seat, i could see the film and i could see myself in the screen. We spoke out infront of everyone and i could feel myself being embaraced because i thought everyone else could see the movie.

There was one point, i can not remember exactly what it was but it was something along the lines of you have done something naughty in work and yoiur boss is going to fire you and i apparently burst into tears and couldnt stop crying to the point he had to come over and put me under and calmed me down, the fact that the whole emotional distress of what had happened was cut short so suddenly scared me.

I can remember some things which happened, just little flash backs but my friends told me what they saw and i began to recall it but a lot is still quite vivid.

There was one point when i became aware of people around me and i snapped out of it and he had to put me back under. i think the sudden realisation of what i was doing was enough to snap me back to reality but it took 2 seconds for him to put his hand on my shoulder and bring me back into a state of trance before i began trying to race in the grand national

There was one thing he did say at the beginnging is that any sceptics couldnt participate because they force themselves out of trances easily, it has to be people with opened minds. I think because of all the action and emotion, it rarely crossed my mind that if i tried hard enough, i could bring myself out of the trance.

It just felt that with every word, he controlled you, he said move your arm and you move it without thinking twice.
I would imagine possession to be very similar to this, the fact that something can control you and you dont hesitate but the fact that i could hear the audience laughing etc, i felt like i didnt have a care inthe world - i was kylie manogue LOL!

You often see in movies, a character shouting at the possessed person to "fight it" or "dont let it win" and usually it all ends happily ever after
I think there would have to be some sence of knowledge - surely prayers alone can not fight against a demon, they often say the weak are conquered yet you hear so many surviving exorcisms your body must have to be strong to fight such an evil.
