The idea for this is very simple - we're on a quest to find the band that we should name as "Band of the Year" for the Loucifer Speaks website. We need to find the band that has released a killer album/EP, toured relentlessly or just been completely awesome to their fans.
How are we gonna find 'em? Well, that part's easy - You (the fans) just need to nominate them in this thread on the Loucifer Speaks forum. To do this you will need to register, but this is just because I'm sick to death with deleting spam from bots and such.
The winner will be announced on the 22nd December 2008. Even though this is mostly for fun, as a prize, the winning band will be interviewed and reviewed on Loucifer Speaks. They will also have their banner (and, of course, link) placed on the Loucifer Speaks home page and in the global headers of the Loucifer Speaks forum. I will also place a link to their site/myspace in my signature on this forum.
NOTE: Bands must be Metal/Rock or fall into one of the many metal/rock sub-genres that are floating around at the moment!
We are mostly looking for unsigned or relatively up-and-coming bands. Iron Maiden and the like get enough recognition anyway!
All bands will be informed of their nominations.
