I finished reading The Secret of Crickley Hall by James Herbert yesterday and I'm so unbelievably impressed with it! It's a pretty long book (which can often be daunting) but once I'd read one or two pages I found that I just couldn't put it down! I wasn't over-the-moon with the ending, but I don't think any ending would have satisfied me - I just wanted the book to go on forever! I'd highly recommend it - it's a seriously good read Has anyone else read it?

Sorry to drag up an old post but I have to say Lou lent me this book and I couldn't put it down! I was texting Lou everytime something exciting happened because I got so into it.
I agree that the ending was a bit of a let down, but I was so impressed with the book over all that the ending didnt really upset me!
This is the first of James Herberts books that I've read and I'm now slowly collecting his other books because of how much I enjoyed this one. Would definately recommend it and may even buy it myself so I can read it again at some point in the future.

James Herbert is an author i never really thought of reading. Im into Stephen king and Dean Koontz Is it like that? Kinda, to a degree. I'm currently in a James Herbert phase, so I've been reading quite a few of his books. He's definitely one of my favourite authors. He really knows how to write a good story.
